4 Dumpsters and Counting......

We have been working for about 1 month and we are making some great progress.  I actually feel we are getting to a point where soon we should be able to start rebuilding all we have torn out.   Here are a few highlights of our hardwork and VERY sore elbows.....tearing out flooring is a bitch!!!!

Downstair Steps.......

Entryway..........

Down to the stud!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's not all smashing down walls and inhaling 40 year old insulation!!

Introducing our 1st Place 2 year old and the Grand Prize Toddler...........

She even got her own car in the parade!!!!!!  That's not Robert and I behind the wheel:)

The girls entered Coco in the Pet Show, but didn't place.
I think the judges were paid off.  Plus it was pouring down rain so maybe the judges had their umbrellas over thier eyes.:)

Robert's Sister and family came to Mound City for the 4th, so the girls had a ball with their cousins and we enjoyed having them up.  Denise and I even did a 5K:)

Successful first week of Demo!!!!

Demo of the Master Bath.
We decided it might be nice not to have to step over the vanity to get our of the shower.

You can actually walk between the two bedrooms, via the closets

Basement

Heading to the Basement!!!!
The Basement....too bad this isn't scratch and sniff because it was a wonderful mix of mold, dog pee, mouse dropping and moth balls.  If I could only capture that in a candle I would be a millionaire:)

This is along the staircase.

This is the hallway that goes to the other quality bathroom.  We might keep this one to save money.

The Guest Bathroom...We are taking reservations so please check your calendars.

Another picture of the staircase wall and door to backyard.

Heading back up to get some fresh air!!!!

Entry, Kitchen & Laundry

The door is right outside the laundry room before you get to the kitchen.

Master Bathroom....This bathroom eliminates a crowd while taking care of business:)  Shower is on the other side of the vanity, yes there actually was a shower crammed into this space.

Closing Day...May 25, 2010

Easy Peasy Schmeasy!!!!

As you can see, I figured out how to download the pictures, thanks to Alisha who said it was "Easy Peasy."   She was right!  Thanks Alisha.  I am going to try to be ambitious and if the kids cooperate, get some more pics posted.

This is the front of the house and tree that Robert will decorate every Christmas:)
This is the other side of the house.  We have some great trees but with big trees come lots of leaves in the fall!  We might have to invest in a leaf blower.

The house is situated on a golf course and a small vineyard.
These two pics are of the golf couse
This is the back of the house and were we will be putting the addition.
